The Tullamore Show is now in a position to offer an Internship for a Tourism Marketing & Business Executive
An internship is available with the Tullamore Show during the 2012 Show Year.

The aim of the National Internship Scheme is to assist in breaking the cycle where jobseekers are unable to get a job without experience, either as new entrants to the labour market after education or training or as unemployed workers wishing to learn new skills. The scheme will also give people a real opportunity to gain valuable experience to bridge the gap between study and the beginning of their working lives.
Internship Available: Tourism Marketing and Business Executive
Description
The intern will gain practical experience in working directly with the marketing team and company secretary, assisting the Public Relations Office, Secretary to promote and market the upcoming event. The intern will receive formal/informal training in the following: local and national advertising. Collating contacts for marketing strategies. Gathering customer information. Preparing sales calls and following up. Research of new marketing ideas. Social media tools. The intern will have access to Fáilte Ireland s 5-day Marketing Training Programme. This will focus on overseas tourism marketing as well as the tourism industry in Ireland and in key overseas markets. On completion the intern will have attained skills in direct involvement with the marketing element of a national event. They will also gain exposure to a variety of marketing tools.
Skills Requirements
Good communication skills, team player and applicants must have a good command of the English language. Excellent IT skills including familiarity with the latest online marketing tools. Strong research and analytical skills.
Please Note:
This is an Internship. An allowance of €50 per week will be paid in addition to your current Social Welfare payment.See eligibility criteria above.
