A day at the Tullamore Show will allow you a glimpse at our agricultural past and present – try your hand at Loy Digging, Sheaf Tossing or play at pets corner and find out what a Charolais is.
Our rural family lifestyle programme will include: livestock, equestrian, home industries, inventions. There are horticultural elements ranging from floral displays and garden design to childrens areas. Also for your entertainment on the day there will be free music, dancing, childrens fun and games along with Best Dressed Granny and other fun events.
The town of Tullamore has long been known as the entertainment capital of the midlands. Times have passed, standards have risen but the hospitality afforded visitors in Tullamore has not changed.
Memorable Weekends of Craic and Culture
This year the town is busier than ever with the Kilbeggan Races on Saturday 8th August (First Race at 5.30pm), Tullamore Show & AIB National Livestock Show on Sunday, 9th August and Fleadh Ceoil na hEireann from 16th to the 23rd August next.
There are numerous "eateries" in town as well as a wide and varied number of pubs and drinking emporia. At weekends the town really comes alive and Saturday night will meet the expectations of most people who want to experience "the craic" in Tullamore. If you're intending to stay in town prior to the Tullamore Show please remember that rooms fill up quickly - often months in advance. See Accommodation
