The Art & Photography section is a very popular section for local and national artists, catering for junior and senior artists who can compete in various mediums in their classes. It is never too late to enter, and exhibits can be entered on the day, but includes a penalty fee with the entry fee. Why not enter and let your imagination and abilities run free? You might discover you have a hidden talent you can develop further!

In addition to the schedule of competitions, the Art & Photography section this year are delighted to have exhibitions by the Slieve Bloom Photography Club and the Annaharvey Art Club. They are also pleased to introduce two Irish artists, namely Mary Wallace (Wexford), a contemporary visual artist with a unique style & a passion for making art, and Debbie Chapman (Dublin), another contemporary artist whose paintings connect the viewer of her paintings with the subject in a distinct & very real way.

With June temperatures breaking sunshine records, Irelands Premiere Show, the Tullamore Show & AIB National Livestock Show is set to break more records at the show this year, which takes place on Sunday 10th August on the Butterfield Estate. Based just outside Tullamore on 250 acres of show grounds, with 20,000 free car spaces the event this year will feature a very full schedule of classes and a very attractive prize fund of €165,000. This will ensure very tough competition in all areas, from bloodstock, livestock, dogs and inventions to poultry, home industries and many more.

The spectacular and spacious scenery of the Butterfield Estate is an ideal location for any person with a passion for the great outdoors. Both rural and urban visitors alike are similarly entertained with our wide variety of indoor competitions, as well as recreational activities such as our fashion show, children’s entertainment, and rare breeds, to name but a few.

The Tullamore Show which is the highlight of the farming world and is one of the biggest events in the country, will feature 1,000 exhibitor competitions, a huge prize fund of €165,000 and includes the gold medal award for livestock which will become the hallmark of excellence in livestock production. Not only does it contain over 250 acres of show grounds, but there is free entertainment all day long, numerous catering villages, bars and over 20,000 free car parking spaces. This year’s event promises to be even more successful than last year’s record attendance with a galaxy of events, exhibitions and demos, whether it be vintage, cars or machinery. It’s the ultimate country lifestyle showcase where urban visitors are similarly entertained with our wide variety of indoor competitions, as well as recreational activities such as our fashion show, children’s entertainment and rare breeds.
