Indoor Workshops Set to Double in Size at this Year's Show

The popular workshops give helpful hints and tips on skills involved in indoor competitions at agricultural show

The 'Talks, Tips and Hints' indoor workshops are one of the newest additions to Tullamore Show programme. They were created to give regular competitors at agricultural shows and other enthusiasts helpful insights into the various skills involved in indoor competitions at agricultural competitions across Ireland.

Having debuted just last year, the popularity of the workshops means that we've doubled the amount of them this year - and they will now be held across two marquees throughout the day.

Read through the schedule below to make sure you don't miss something that you'd like to see.

Indoor Workshop One:

10.00am -10.30am: Laura O’Rourke of O’Rourke Farm Cookery - The art of jam and jelly making.

10.30am -11.30am: Tanya Ross of Novel T Cake in Moate on baking.

11.30am - 12.30pm: Pat McKeon - The Do's & Don'ts of photography,

12.30pm - 1.15pm: Midland Framing - How to frame those lovely photos and artworks

1.15pm- 2.00pm: Pat Lalor of Kilbeggan Organic Foods with his healthy oatmeal and porridge bread.

2.00pm - 3.00pm: Yvonne Carty of Hey Pesto! on chocolate culinary creations.

3.00pm - 4.00pm: Christine Hughes - Floral artistry from an expert.

Indoor Workshop Two:

10.00am - 10.30am: Freda Flanagan - Design and craftsmanship of patchwork.

10.30am -11.30am: Richard Haslam - The Master of Floral Arranging with unique skills and styles

11.30am- 12.30pm: Philip McCabe - On honey, the oldest known medicine to mankind

12.30pm - 1.15pm: Damian McHugh of Beechill Bulbs - Tips on growing various bulbs and flowers.

1.15pm - 2.00pm: Kelly O'Brien - Beiers Bont, a form of embroidery from Amsterdam.

2.00pm - 2.45pm: Catherine Leyden - The one and only 'Odlums Lady' on baking.

3.00pm - 4.00pm: David Maloney - Specialist in growing and exhibiting of flowers, with a focus dahlias and chrysanthemums.
