It's that time of year again. The Tullamore Show and AIB National Livestock Show is to launch in the Bridge House Hotel on June 13th, just under 2 months before show day.
Attending the annual event will be representatives from the Shows mains sponsors AIB, in conjunction with the hundreds of sponsors who generously support the show year after year from local and regional enterprises.
Speaking from the show office, Show Secretary Freda Kinnarney said the committee were ''thrilled to welcome long term friend of the show - Sean McConnell - as guest speaker on the evening''. Mr McConnell, a former agricultural journalist with the Irish Times is notorious for giving the show its earliest coverage and promotion in its' early days.
Tonights event will also see the launch of the Schedule of Classes with new and exciting competitions including this years 'Floral Art' Competition along with the long list of classes in livestock and bloodstock.
The Show which celebrates its 21st birthday this year, since its revival in 1991 has grown from strength to strength with last years attendance surpassing 60,000.
