The Junior and Senior finals of the All Ireland Hunt Chase will be hosted at the Tullamore Show & FBD National Livestock Show on Sunday 11th August, on Butterfield Estate, Blueball, Tullamore. This event, which was previously held in the RDS Horse Show, will provide some great entertainment, as teams of riders complete a difficult course, against the clock and at the one time.
This competition promises to be a real thriller. There will be at least 10 teams taking part in the senior event and a minimum of 5 teams in the junior final. Each team will qualify at different shows across the county,
The Hunt Chase senior competition consists of two teams of four riders, who have qualified from different hunts going against each other on identical courses in relay style, with the added pressure of being against the clock.
This year to add to the excitement there will be a junior final for riders over 12 and under 18, with two riders on each team. They will be competing over the same course as the senior finals however they will use smaller fences. These junior riders have also qualified at different shows across the country.
These finals, both junior and senior, promise to be a real spectacle for the audience as riders show off their talent and expertise.
The equestrian programme of the show also includes a full showing schedule and has a number of sideshows. Full details of all the general competitive programme with over 1,000 classes are available on www.tullamorehsow.com but please note that the closing date for entries is fast approaching, being Wednesday 3rd July for postal and Wednesday 10th July for online entries
