Covid-19 Outbreak Advice

   19 Mar 2020

While it is a very nervous time for everyone, we are anxious to keep in touch with you and updated regarding Show activities.

We are in a period of great concern and uncertainty. We all have a vital part to play in our efforts to minimise the effects of the Covid-19 pandemic.

We are of course, abiding by the requirements and advice from the various authorities. As the number of confirmed cases on the island of Ireland continues to increase, we are monitoring the situation and will be led by the advice of the various government and health authorities.

At present, indoor gatherings of more than 100 people and outdoor gatherings of more than 500 people are suspended until March 29th. It is impossible to tell at this stage, how this will proceed into the summer, so we will await the update from the authorities at the end of March, before examining what options are available to us all.  We will continue to keep you informed.

In the meantime, there are some sensible precautions that everybody should be taking.

All people are advised to:

  • reduce social interactions while practicing social distancing
  • keep a distance of 2 metres between themselves and other people
  • not shake hands or make close contact with other people where possible
  • If you have symptoms, you will need to self-isolate and phone your General Practitioner (GP).

Look after each other.
