Mary’s Meals Offaly awarded Charity Spot for 2023

Tullamore Show and FBD National livestock Show have again invited applications for the highly sought after charity stand at the show. The chosen charity is able to fundraise by various means, whether by bucket collections, raffles or donations. It gives them an opportunity to raise awareness of the successful charity.

This year show the executive are delighted to announce that Mary’s Meals Offaly are the successful Charity for 2023.

Speaking on his selection Paul Galvin of MARY'S MEALS OFFALY said “Being the nominated Charity at the prestigious TULLAMORE SHOW is fantastic for all of us involved in MARY'S MEALS. A lot of people have never heard of the Charity or the great work that it does so this gives us the opportunity to spread the word to over 60,000 people at one event & also, please God, raise funds so that we can keep feeding these unfortunate children. We are so very grateful to all at TULLAMORE SHOW for allowing us be part of this hugely successful National Show.

The Charity MARY'S MEALS feeds Hungry Children at School in 18 of the World's Poorest Countries at a cost of only €22 for each Child per School YEAR or 11 CENT per Individual Nutritious MEAL ! They also guarantee that at least 93% of all donations go directly to the work of feeding the Children & for the past 5 years they have achieved 95%.

MARY'S MEALS is a no-frills charity with a simple idea that really works by providing one good meal each day in a place of learning. Children are drawn into the classroom where they not only get fed but also receive an education that could one day free them & their families from the horrible cycle of poverty.

This is only possible as most of the work is carried out by thousands of Volunteers & where possible the food is sourced from local Farmers in each country. This gives the small farmers & their families a regular market for their crops and at a fair price.

Tullamore Show extends its best wishes to Mary's Meals for a successful fundraising event at Tullamore Show on Sunday, 13th August 2023.
