We bade farewell to one of our founding members, Christy Maye.

Christy was a driving force in bringing the National Livestock Show to Tullamore, this was paired with his passion for hospitality, which was clear with the success of his many business ventures.

Chelsey Cox McDonald, Show Secretary, described Mr. Maye as a visionary and a man of ideas and encouragement. 

" He was hugely inspirational. His willingness to share his knowledge was crucial to the Tullamore Show. Which has transpired in what the Tullamore Show and FBD National Livestock Show has become."

" Without a doubt he will always be fondly remembered by committee members both past and present, show staff and all show volunteers."

In 2022, Christy was awarded Honorary Life Long Member.

We cannot express how grateful we are to have crossed paths with Christy, may he rest in peace.
